Facial Acupuncture
About Facial Acupuncture
For an overall feeling of rejuvenation that includes your body and your face why not consider a course of facial acupuncture?
Facial acupuncture, or cosmetic acupuncture is actually a whole body treatment, that includes some very fine needles being inserted in to the face as well as points on the body. Cosmetic or Facial rejuvenation acupuncture has anti-aging benefits because they effect overall health in a positive way. You will look and feel younger. Effects of facial acupuncture can include:
- Reduction of wrinkles and crows feet
- Improvement in acne or blemished skin
- Reduction of sagginess
- Lifting of drooping eyelids
- Erasing of fine lines and reduction of deeper lines
- Clearing or reduction of age spots
- An overall feeling of well-being
This is because facial acupuncture treatments promote the circulation of Qi and blood in the face. When an acupuncture needle is inserted, the body reacts and sends red blood cells and critical nutrients to the area, stimulating a local immune response. Once the needle is removed, the body quickly realises that it’s not under attack and calls off the immune response.
In the meantime, those areas on the face where needles were placed have been flooded with a new supply of blood and nutrients. This stimulates the production of collagen, the protein responsible for tightness in the skin giving the face a natural facelift. No Botox required! Anti-aging facial acupuncture treatments are less expensive and far safer than many other modern treatments. It’s virtually risk free and there are none of the side effects of face-lift surgery, lasers, and injections like numbness, scarring, possible atrophy, and lengthy recovery time. Your face will never look stretched, burned or puffy. Instead it will look younger, smoother and more even in tone. There is a small possibility of bruising, but it is very short-lived should it occur.
Many clients feel more rested and relaxed, and notice a more youthful glow, after just one or two facial acupuncture treatments. Typically, significant results are seen after about 10 treatments. Normally treatment is given once a week, but for faster results you can have two treatments a week. Then regular top-ups are advised, on a monthly or less frequent basis that is up to you. You should notice a difference in your face after the first treatment.
Cost: £105 for a session, which lasts between 1 1/2 and 2 hours.
