About Acupuncture
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a therapy that originated in China over 5,000 years ago. It is based on the belief that Health problems are the result of imbalance in the body’s energy system.
Acupuncture rebalances the energy by the inserting fine needles into specific acupuncture points.
Acupuncture treats the whole person and that person as an individual. It treats the root cause of a problem and not only the symptoms.
It has an excellent safety record when carried out by a qualified practitioner and evidence of its success is backed by modern research in the UK and abroad.
The British Acupuncture Council website gives further information the benefits of acupuncture, conditions treated and current Research Factsheets.
